Giulio Palma from University of Southampton visits the Colour Experience Group

(8.12.2025) Dinner at Café de Grancy, Lausanne: Domicele Jonauskaite, Giulio Palma, Kelsea Grimm, Killian Droz, Leila Manni, Myriam Ouznadji, Anastazja Adamczyk

We were very happy to welcome Giulio Palma, a PhD student from University of Southampton, Southampton, England at the Colour Experience lab in Lausanne. Giulio stayed with us for a couple of days during which we’ve had many occasions to chat and exchange the different perspectives on research on colour.

Giulio is doing his PhD under the supervision of prof. Christoph Witzel, studying the relationship between colour and nostalgia and investigating the impact of colour on perceived atmosphere of space. He presented his research during the weekly meeting of the Cognitive and Affective Regulation Laboratory, and met with all the members of our research group. He has also visited the Institute for Complementary and Integrative Medicine at University of Bern with Anastazja, to meet one of our collaborators - Dr Hamoon Zohdi - and look at the experimental protocol we’ve put in place.

Thank you, Giulio, for coming to Lausanne and we are looking forward to future meetings and collaboration opportunities!
